The Madras High Court (Madurai Bench, Justice S. Palanivelu) on 30 July 2010 dismissed both appeals (Crl.A(MD)Nos.649-650 of 2007), holding the charges proved beyond reasonable doubt, but reduced the sentence to one year RI per count given the length of proceedings.",
