The judgment of the Patna High Court records the following account. On 10 October 1952, the ASI and constable of Kandra outpost threatened about 28 villagers of Bikaneepur with prosecution over a witchcraft-related sacrifice and extracted illegal gratification at Rs.2/8 per head, settled after haggling down from Rs.500. The court believed the prosecution witnesses and held \[name withheld\] received illegal gratification from several persons, rejecting sanction and evidentiary objections. It dismissed \[name withheld\]'s appeal (1 year RI under Section 161 IPC) and dismissed Yasin Khan's appeal with his conviction altered to abetment under Section 161/109 IPC, maintaining his 6-month sentence.
