The judgment of the Rajasthan High Court records the following account. Head Constable, working as Accounts Clerk at Pali police lines, refused on 7 February 1953 to let the Additional SP verify the cash box, misbehaved with the officers, and behaved insolently at the SP's residence until the SDM was called. After a fresh departmental enquiry he was dismissed in September 1960, and a Single Judge quashed the dismissal in 1969. The Division Bench held only the gross-insubordination charge proved but grave enough in a police employee to sustain dismissal, reversed the Single Judge, and restored the dismissal. No civilian victim is involved; this is a departmental disciplinary matter. Matters not addressed in the cited judgment text are not recorded here.
