The High Court found that the Sub-Inspectors of T. The police arrested him at 2 a.m., misled the Magistrate to deny bail, and unlawfully detained him for nearly 20 days. The Court quashed the criminal cases as an abuse of process, held that the officers violated Article 21, and directed the State to pay Rs 50,000 compensation to the advocate with directions to recover the sum from the two officers.
