Constable (Driver) \[name withheld\], deputed on 18 February 2009 to escort arrested accused from Pratapgarh to Nimbahera court in government vehicle RJ-09-S-4326, was charged with abandoning the escort party and accused, driving the vehicle away, and consuming liquor inside it until unfit to drive. The court record notes he was photographed half-lying in the vehicle, the photo was published in Rajasthan Patrika on 19 February 2009, and a government-hospital medical examination confirmed alcohol influence. The Division Bench had dismissed his special appeal on 29 June 2011 holding his own statement plus the doctor evidence proved on-duty liquor consumption; the reviewing Division Bench on 11 December 2013 reproduced those findings and dismissed the review, leaving the dismissal from service intact.
