The Jharkhand High Court (Pramath Patnaik J.) dismissed a Garhwa constable's writ against his dismissal dated 20 August 2010. The court found departmental evidence proved intentional forgery and fraud: two matriculation identities, simultaneous appointments in two states, and fraudulent salary draw, and not mere irregularity. It held the confirmed dismissal was neither evidence-free nor shockingly disproportionate. The dismissal, confirmed in appeal and memorial, therefore stands.
