On 26 April 2022 the Gujarat High Court Division Bench dismissed the appeal of a State Reserve Police Force constable and confirmed his dismissal from service. The court recorded that on 7 December 2005 the appellant had scuffled with a colleague, who sustained a head injury from the appellant rifle, and that a full departmental inquiry had held the charges proved, leading to dismissal on 15 September 2006, confirmed in appeal and revision. Agreeing with the Single Judge that three concurrent findings of fact, a record of repeated misconduct and subsequent FIRs supported the penalty, the court held dismissal commensurate with the guilt and called for no interference.
