- Charged, not convicted 22 May 2019
Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption reported that it trapped and arrested a Inspector of Police of Uthangarai Police Station, Krishnagiri district, on 22 May 2019 while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 70,000. This is an allegation: an arrest in a trap is not a conviction, and the officer is presumed innocent unless a court finds otherwise.
