## Summary

The Special Judge, Ambajogai, in Special Case No.3/2006 on 28 March 2008 convicted PSI of Kaij police station for demanding Rs.2,000 (settled at Rs.1,000) from complainant \[name withheld\] on 13-15 October 2005 to release his seized Mahindra car (CR under IPC s.279/MV Act, 9 October 2005) and grant bail to driver \[name withheld\], caught in an ACB trap at the police station on 17 October 2005, sentencing him to 1 year's RI under PC Act s.7 plus 6 months under s.13 with Rs.5,000 fine on each count. On 23 January 2018 Justice Sangitrao Patil (Aurangabad Bench, Crl Appeal No.124/2008) dismissed the appeal and ordered surrender within two weeks.
