## Summary

The Special Judge, Pune, in Special Case No.6/1992 on 6 May 1995 convicted Head Constable of Shirur police station for demanding Rs.1,000 at a 26 October 1991 accident spot (paid) to release a brick-kiln truck and then Rs.500 (negotiated to Rs.200) from driver-complainant \[name withheld\] on 20 January 1992 to return seized permit/licence documents, caught in an ACB trap at Shirur police station on 23 January 1992 following the 22 January complaint, sentencing him to 1 year's RI on each PC Act count. On 13 January 2016 Justice Sadhana Jadhav (Crl Appeal No.236/1995) dismissed the appeal, upholding the conviction via the s.20 presumption and ordering surrender within four weeks of 1 February 2016.
