## Summary

The Special Judge, Tis Hazari convicted ASI Darshan Lal of PS Vinay Nagar on 30.01.2001 for demanding Rs 1,000 to release the complainant's cousin \[name withheld\] and his friend, threatening false implication otherwise, in CBI RC 83-A/95. He was sentenced on 31.01.2001 to two years RI under section 7 and three years RI under section 13. On 31.07.2009 Justice G.S. Sistani dismissed his appeal (Crl.A. 73/2001), reducing the section 13 term to two years RI.
