Malik, Tis Hazari convicted IPS officer, then Tripura Resident Commissioner in New Delhi, in three complaint cases arising from RC2(S)/96 for conspiracy, cheating, forgery and criminal misconduct in the fraudulent nomination of candidates to MBBS seats, alongside former Union Minister Rasheed Masood.
