## Summary

The Special Judge (PC Act), Jabalpur, on 12 November 2003 convicted Constable Munnalal Rajak of PS Majhgawan for demanding Rs 2,000 from agriculturist a Jabalpur resident to let him off an inquiry (threatening jail if unpaid by 7 June 2001), caught in a Lokayukta trap; he drew 1 year RI under s.7 and 2 years RI under s.13(1)(d)/13(2). The MP High Court (Jabalpur, Cr.A. 1976/2003, January 2011) partly allowed the appeal: convictions and fines affirmed, but the s.13 custodial term reduced from 2 years to the 1-year statutory minimum.
