A-1 and A-2 received life terms for murder. The Madras High Court (Justices R. Balasubramanian and A.C. Arumugaperumal Adityan, Crl.A. Nos. 735, 738 of 2004, 4 December 2006) confirmed the murder, confinement, hurt and evidence convictions of A-1 and A-2 (converting 302/120-B/34 to 302/34 and 324 to 323, sentences maintained), while acquitting A-3 of sections 331/326/354 (convicting him under section 323 with admonition under the Probation of Offenders Act) and dismissing the \[name withheld\] appeal against A-6's acquittal.
