The CBI press release states that the Additional Judge for CBI Cases, Visakhapatnam convicted CISF Constable and two private co-accused (his sister and her husband) for issuing fake appointment letters for ASI (clerk) posts in the CISF, and sentenced Rao to seven years RI with Rs.2,000 fine (the private pair got six months RI with Rs.5,000 fine each). The release states Rao abused his official position, took Rs.10,000-80,000 from 30 unemployed candidates around Yelamanchili, and issued forged appointment and training-intimation letters.
