## Summary

The Special Judge, Gondia, in Special Case No.1/1997 on 31 March 2001 convicted Police Head Constable (Buckle No.1014, Sakritola outpost, Salekasa PS) for demanding Rs.200 in August 1995 from Tanulal to release his brother \[name withheld\], nabbed in a 25 August 1995 gambling raid at Kawadi village, in an ACB trap laid after complaints of 8 and 12 September 1995. The court imposed 6 months' RI under PC Act s.7 and 2 years' RI under s.13(1)(d), concurrent with fines. On 24 August 2015 Justice A.B. Chaudhari (Crl Appeal No.104/2000) dismissed the appeal, upholding the conviction and sentences.
