## Summary

The CBI press release dated 13.03.2006 states that the Special Judge, Greater Mumbai convicted CBI Inspector on 17.10.2005, sentencing him to two years RI with Rs.50,000 fine each under s.11 and s.13(1)(d) r/w s.13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act (concurrent), for abusing his official position as Inspector, CBI ACB Patna by getting his household articles packed and transported to Patna on transfer from Mumbai (pecuniary advantage Rs.12,448) through a transport company against which he was investigating a case. The release records the RC of 30.04.2003, chargesheet of 05.04.2004, framing of charges on 24.01.2005, and that Singh was recently dismissed from the CBI.
