Charged, not convicted 1
- Charged, not convicted 5 July 2022
Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption reported that it trapped and arrested a Grade I Police Constable of Special Branch, Vanapuram Police Station, Tiruvannamalai district, on 5 July 2022 while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 for letting the complainant run his brick kiln without police hindrance. This is an allegation: an arrest in a trap is not a conviction, and the officer is presumed innocent unless a court finds otherwise.
The entries above are allegations. An officer trapped by an anti-corruption agency is presumed innocent unless a court convicts; none of them is counted as a finding anywhere on this site.
