Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption reported that it trapped and arrested a Special Sub-Inspector of Police of Pollachi Police Station, Coimbatore district, on 16 July 2026 while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 70,000 for closing a petition against the complainant.
