Order issued
ConcludedThe Rajasthan High Court recorded adverse findings against police personnel and ordered Rs 200,000.
The judgment of the Rajasthan High Court records the following account. A Taranagar man, a resident of Bheemsana (Churu) who the court notes appears to be a visually impaired person, was chargesheeted in FIR 63/2025 at Taranagar for abduction and assault though the written report named Ramniwas, Sonu, Pratap etc., and was lodged in Central Jail Churu. On his brother's plea the SP Churu assigned re-investigation to a trainee IPS officer, who found him falsely implicated, but the Sessions Court rejected the IO's Section 189 BNSS release application on technical grounds. The Rajasthan High Court (Jodhpur) set aside that order and directed his release on a Rs 10,000 bond. The court recorded that law-enforcement officials had deliberately and maliciously implicated an innocent person to shield the actual perpetrators, directed a departmental inquiry against the erring SHO and IO, and ordered Rs 2,00,000 compensation conditional on medical confirmation of the visual impairment. Matters not addressed in the cited judgment text are not recorded here.
