Charged, not convicted 1

  • Charged, not convicted 13 March 2023
Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption reported that it trapped and arrested a Special Sub-Inspector of Police of Kullanchavadi Police Station, Cuddalore district, on 13 March 2023 while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 for taking action on the complainant's petition. This is an allegation: an arrest in a trap is not a conviction, and the officer is presumed innocent unless a court finds otherwise.
The entries above are allegations. An officer trapped by an anti-corruption agency is presumed innocent unless a court convicts; none of them is counted as a finding anywhere on this site.
